Lions District Governor Challenges Conroe Noon Club to Unite by Kindness, Welcomes New Members

Conroe, TX – Lions District 2-S2 Governor David Dribbon recently visited the Conroe Noon Lions Club, delivering an inspiring message of unity and challenging members to expand their impact in the community. During his address, Dribbon emphasized the Lions’ core principle of being “United by Kindness” and reinforced their enduring motto, “We Serve.”

Dribbon openly discussed the contemporary challenges facing Lions clubs, particularly a decrease in membership numbers observed in the “post-COVID world.” However, he also underscored the significant opportunities available for growth, urging members to clearly articulate the club’s positive influence and the tangible difference it makes in the Conroe area. Showcasing the club’s vital contributions, he noted, is key to attracting new individuals eager to serve.

A highlight of Governor Dribbon’s visit was the official induction of two new members into the Conroe Noon Lions Club: William C. (Billy) Parker IV and Ryan Odom. Dribbon noted that their district has set an ambitious goal to welcome 100 new members by April 2024, making the addition of Parker and Odom a promising step toward achieving this objective.

The Conroe Noon Lions Club continues its dedicated service to the community. Just last week, their Lions Community Food Pantry provided essential food assistance to 100 local families, demonstrating the ongoing commitment of its members.

The Conroe Noon Lions Club meets every Wednesday at noon at their building, located at 1202 North Frazier.
