MCCF Plans Fundraiser for County Nonprofits

**MCCF Roars Ahead with “Travel, Roar, Explore” Fundraiser, Aims to Raise $100K for Local Nonprofits**

**MONTGOMERY, TX –** The Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF) is set to host its highly anticipated “Travel, Roar, Explore” fundraiser on Thursday, April 18, from 5-8 p.m., at the picturesque Big Sky Barn, located at 12250 Old Montgomery Road in Montgomery. The event is a cornerstone of the foundation’s annual efforts to bolster its vital grant program, which provides crucial financial support to a multitude of local nonprofits serving communities across Montgomery County.

This year, MCCF has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $100,000, funds that will directly translate into grants for organizations addressing diverse needs, from social services and education to arts and environmental initiatives. Last year, the foundation successfully distributed over $100,000 in grants to 36 different local nonprofits, significantly impacting the quality of life for countless Montgomery County residents.

“Our ‘Travel, Roar, Explore’ event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of community and the incredible work our local nonprofits do every single day,” said Julie Martineau, MCCF President & CEO. “The generosity of our attendees and sponsors directly fuels our mission to enrich Montgomery County. Every ticket purchased and every sponsorship secured means more resources for the organizations on the front lines, creating a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

Attendees are invited to embark on an evening of adventure with a unique “roaming dinner” experience, allowing guests to mingle and explore. Live musical entertainment will set a vibrant atmosphere, while a silent auction promises exciting opportunities to bid on a diverse array of items. From luxurious travel packages and unique local experiences to coveted sports memorabilia, there’s something to pique every interest. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme, dressing in “cocktail casual” or creative “safari chic” attire.

Amy and Michael O’Neal are co-chairing this year’s event, lending their passion and expertise to ensure its success. Their leadership is instrumental in galvanizing community support for MCCF’s mission.

The Montgomery County Community Foundation’s mission is clear: “to enrich the quality of life in Montgomery County by supporting and promoting local charities through effective grant making, collaborative donor partnerships, and a permanent community endowment.” This fundraiser is a critical component of building that endowment and ensuring sustainable support for local causes.

The event has already garnered significant backing from community leaders and businesses. Major sponsors include The Woodlands (Title Sponsor), HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe (Silver Sponsor), Woodforest National Bank (Gold Sponsor), Entergy (Gold Sponsor), and The Strong Firm (Gold Sponsor). Their commitment underscores a shared dedication to the well-being and prosperity of Montgomery County.

Tickets for the “Travel, Roar, Explore” fundraiser are priced at $100 per person. Those interested in purchasing tickets, exploring remaining sponsorship opportunities, or learning more about the foundation’s work can contact Julie Martineau, MCCF President & CEO, or email info@mccfoundation.org.
