MONTGOMERY, TX – The Montgomery High School auditorium will transform into a magical kingdom this weekend as “Amazingly Possible,” a local nonprofit dedicated to inclusive performing arts, presents its production of “Cinderella, A Class Act.” The heartwarming show features a diverse cast, including actors with special needs performing alongside community guest actors, promising a unique and inspiring theatrical experience for all ages.

Founded by Becky McDonald, “Amazingly Possible” is celebrating its second year of bringing inclusive theatre to the MHS stage, following last year’s successful staging of “The Wizard of Oz.” The organization’s core mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment where individuals with special needs can learn, develop life skills, build confidence, and enhance social interaction through the performing arts.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring ‘Cinderella, A Class Act’ to the Montgomery High School stage for our second year,” said founder Becky McDonald. “Our goal at Amazingly Possible is to create a space where every individual, regardless of ability, can discover their voice, build confidence, and connect with their community through the magic of theatre. Seeing our cast, ranging from ages 6 to 62, grow and shine is the most rewarding part of what we do. This production truly embodies our belief that anything is ‘amazingly possible.'”

The diverse cast of “Cinderella” spans generations, from young children discovering the stage for the first time to seasoned community performers. The production benefits from a talented creative team, including guest director Marty Craig, who brings extensive experience to the show, choreographer Rebecca Clark, and vocal director Sarah McDonald.

“Directing ‘Cinderella’ for Amazingly Possible has been an incredibly inspiring experience,” said Marty Craig. “The dedication and talent of this diverse cast are truly remarkable. They approach every rehearsal with enthusiasm and a desire to learn, and the collaboration between our actors with special needs and our community guest actors creates a unique energy on stage that audiences won’t want to miss.”

Karen Cox, Board President for “Amazingly Possible,” highlighted the profound impact of the program. “The support from the Montgomery community has been phenomenal, and it allows us to continue providing these invaluable opportunities,” Cox stated. “Amazingly Possible isn’t just about putting on a show; it’s about fostering an environment where individuals gain essential life skills like improved communication, teamwork, and public speaking, forge friendships, and experience the joy of collective achievement. We’ve seen incredible transformations, and ‘Cinderella’ is set to be another testament to the power of inclusion.”

Beyond the spotlight, participants in “Amazingly Possible” gain practical skills such as memorization, emotional expression, and physical coordination, all within a supportive and encouraging setting. The opportunity to perform in front of an audience also significantly boosts self-esteem and social confidence, preparing them for broader community engagement.
