**Young Texas Artists Celebrates 20 Years of Nurturing Classical Talent with Bach, Beethoven & Barbecue Fundraiser**

**Conroe, TX – March 11, 2024** – The Young Texas Artists (YTA) Foundation marked a significant milestone this past weekend, celebrating its 20th Annual Bach, Beethoven & Barbecue fundraiser. The celebratory events, culminating on Saturday, March 9, 2024, gathered supporters and classical music enthusiasts to champion emerging artists and secure the future of classical music performance.

The festivities commenced on Friday, March 8, with a prelude concert that set the stage for the weekend’s high-caliber performances. Held at the historic C.K. Ray Arts & Culture Center, located at 120 Thompson St. in Conroe, the concert offered attendees a preview of the extraordinary talent that would compete in the finals.

The heart of the weekend’s celebrations, the YTA National Music Competition finals, took center stage on Saturday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m., also at the C.K. Ray Arts & Culture Center. The competition showcased an impressive array of young artists, all vying for a share of more than $20,000 in cash prizes across eight distinct categories: Voice, Piano, Strings, Winds, Brass, Percussion, Harp, and Guitar. The intense competition underscored YTA’s dedication to identifying and elevating the next generation of classical music stars.

Prior to the main concert, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the “Bach, Beethoven & Barbecue” dinner and awards ceremony captivated attendees at a special event held at Market Street in The Woodlands. This elegant gathering served as the platform for the announcement of the highly anticipated “Grand Prize and Audience Choice Award” winner, recognizing exceptional talent and audience engagement. A VIP reception also offered a unique opportunity for patrons to mingle and celebrate the artists and the foundation’s two decades of impact.

Tickets for the barbecue dinner were priced at $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Concert tickets for the competition finals were similarly priced. For those seeking the ultimate experience, a comprehensive package deal, including the prelude concert, main competition finals, the barbecue dinner, and the VIP reception, was available for $125.

Susie Moore, President and CEO of YTA, underscored the critical importance of this 20th-anniversary event. “This milestone year truly highlights how crucial our mission is for helping young artists launch their professional careers,” Moore stated. “The support we receive through events like Bach, Beethoven & Barbecue directly translates into opportunities, mentorship, and financial assistance that can be transformative for these talented individuals.”
