Hobby Center Houston: Limited Engagements

**Hobby Center Announces Blockbuster Spring Lineup Featuring “The Book of Mormon,” “STOMP,” and “Hamilton”**

Houston, TX – The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, a cornerstone of Houston’s vibrant theater district located at 800 Bagby Street, is set to host an exciting array of limited engagements this spring, promising world-class entertainment for diverse audiences. Presented by Broadway at The Hobby Center and PNC Bank, the lineup includes a satirical musical phenomenon, a high-energy percussive spectacle, and the return of a modern Broadway classic.

Kicking off the season is the nine-time Tony Award-winning sensation, **”The Book of Mormon.”** From the irreverent minds of “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and “Frozen” co-writer Robert Lopez, this laugh-out-loud musical follows the misadventures of a pair of mismatched missionaries. Audiences are advised that the production contains mature content. Performances run from Tuesday, February 27th, through Sunday, March 3rd, with each show lasting approximately two hours and thirty minutes, including one intermission.

Immediately following, the internationally acclaimed percussive sensation **”STOMP”** brings its unique blend of rhythm, theater, and comedy to the Hobby Center stage. Utilizing everyday objects like brooms, trash cans, and lighters, the eight-member troupe transforms junk into music in a high-octane, non-verbal performance that has captivated millions worldwide for three decades. “STOMP” will electrify audiences for a limited weekend engagement, from Friday, March 8th, to Sunday, March 10th. This dynamic show runs for about an hour and forty minutes with no intermission, offering a non-stop burst of energy.

Looking further ahead, the much-anticipated return of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking musical, **”Hamilton,”** is scheduled for a longer stay, from May 7th to May 19th. Winner of 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, “Hamilton” tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through a revolutionary blend of hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, and Broadway. Its innovative storytelling and diverse cast have made it a cultural phenomenon since its debut.

Tickets for all three highly anticipated productions are currently available. Patrons can secure their seats online at BroadwayAtTheHobbyCenter.com or TheHobbyCenter.org, or by visiting the Hobby Center Box Office. For those planning a group outing, special pricing for parties of 10 or more can be arranged directly through Broadway at The Hobby Center, offering an excellent opportunity for organizations, friends, or family to experience these acclaimed shows together. Due to expected demand, early booking is recommended.
