Kosher Wine Tasting & Dinner: Passover Preparation

**Expert Sommelier Jeff Krushall to Demystify Kosher Wines at Pre-Passover Event in Conroe**

Conroe, TX – Get a jump start on Passover preparations and expand your palate with a unique “Kosher Wine Tasting and Dinner” featuring highly acclaimed sommelier Jeff Krushall. Hosted by Rabbi Asher Yaras of Chabad of The Woodlands, the educational evening promises to shed light on the diverse and high-quality world of kosher wines.

The event is scheduled for **Monday, April 15th, at 6:30 PM**, at Chabad of The Woodlands’ location at **9909 S.H. 242, Conroe, TX 77385**.

Jeff Krushall, a sommelier currently with H-E-B and previously a prominent figure at Pappas Bros. Steakhouses and Uchi, will lead attendees through a tasting of approximately six to eight different kosher wines. Krushall will delve into the intricacies of how these wines are produced to meet stringent kosher requirements, while also evaluating their quality and unique characteristics. The evening aims to demystify kosher wines, proving their diversity and sophisticated profiles that often surprise those unfamiliar with the category.

This tasting and dinner is particularly timely as Passover, one of the most significant holidays in the Jewish calendar, begins on **Monday, April 22nd, at sundown** and continues for eight days. A central component of the Passover Seder dinner is the consumption of four cups of wine, symbolizing freedom and redemption. The holiday also involves strict dietary restrictions, including the avoidance of leavened bread, or “chametz,” and a focus on specific kosher-for-Passover foods and beverages.

Following the tasting, attendees will enjoy a buffet dinner, catered by H-E-B, which will feature a selection of delicious kosher-for-Passover dishes designed to get everyone ready for the upcoming holiday.

“We are thrilled to offer such a unique and informative event ahead of Passover,” said Rabbi Asher Yaras. “This is an opportunity to not only prepare for the holiday’s culinary traditions but also to appreciate the artistry and quality of kosher wines, guided by an expert of Jeff Krushall’s caliber. It’s a wonderful blend of education and celebration for our community.”

Admission to this special “Kosher Wine Tasting and Dinner” is **$50 per person**, which covers both the tasting experience and the catered meal. Those interested in attending are encouraged to **RSVP by Wednesday, April 10th**.

Reservations can be made online at **jewishwoodlands.com/wine** or by calling Chabad of The Woodlands directly at **281-719-5772**.
