**MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX** – Local singer-songwriter Sandee June has achieved a remarkable feat in the country music world, celebrating consecutive No. 1 singles on the highly competitive Texas Country Music Chart. As of early June, her tracks “Bad Decision” and “Headed Back to Texas” have dominated the top spot, marking a significant milestone for the Montgomery County artist.

“Bad Decision” first climbed to No. 1 on May 15, swiftly followed by “Headed Back to Texas,” which claimed the coveted position on May 29. Both songs are teasers from June’s highly anticipated debut full-length album, recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium in Nashville, a studio hallowed by recording artists from Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift.

June collaborated with acclaimed producer Steve Marcantonio, whose illustrious career includes work with country music icons such as Reba McEntire, Alabama, and George Strait, alongside Grammy-winning projects for artists across genres. Marcantonio’s expertise has helped shape June’s sound, blending traditional country sensibilities with contemporary appeal.

“It’s an absolutely surreal and humbling experience to see both ‘Bad Decision’ and ‘Headed Back to Texas’ resonate so strongly with listeners,” June shared. “As someone deeply rooted in Montgomery County and Texas, having this kind of support on the Texas Country Music Chart means the world to me. Working with Steve Marcantonio and recording at Sound Emporium has been a dream, and I can’t wait to share the complete album with everyone.”

“Bad Decision,” initially released in January 2024, didn’t stop at the Texas charts; it also hit No. 1 on the Nashville Radio Indie Chart, showcasing its broad appeal. “Headed Back to Texas,” which dropped in March 2024, garnered even wider acclaim, securing the No. 1 spot on both the World Radio Watch (WRW) Chart and the Roots Music Report Contemporary Country Chart.

This recent success builds on June’s growing momentum. Her previous singles, “I’ll Never Get Over You” (released in 2022) and “I Ain’t Going Anywhere” (from 2023), both cracked the Top 5 on the Texas Country Music Chart, demonstrating a consistent trajectory of chart-topping potential.

Fans eager to experience Sandee June’s captivating live performances will have a prime opportunity locally. She is scheduled to open for country music legend Tanya Tucker at the iconic Dosey Doe Big Barn in The Woodlands on July 10. Earlier in June, June also took the stage at Nashville’s famous Wildhorse Saloon during the bustling CMA Fest, performing for industry insiders and fans alike.

June’s upcoming album is expected to further solidify her standing in the country music scene, blending personal narratives with the authentic sounds that have quickly endeared her to a growing audience.
