Conroe, TX – A cherished community tradition is making its grand return as the Conroe Noon Lions Club prepares to host its 60th Annual Pancake Supper Fundraiser in its beloved full, in-person format on Wednesday, April 24th. After adapting to a drive-thru model last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the club is thrilled to welcome residents back for a sit-down, all-you-can-eat feast at Conroe High School.

The milestone 60th anniversary event will take place in the Conroe High School cafeteria, located at 3200 W Davis St., from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. For just $10 per person, attendees can indulge in unlimited pancakes, savory sausage, and a refreshing drink, all while being entertained by the talented Conroe High School performing arts groups.

This annual supper stands as the Conroe Noon Lions Club’s single largest fundraiser, with every dollar raised dedicated to fueling their extensive philanthropic endeavors. The funds are crucial for supporting a wide array of programs that directly benefit the Montgomery County community. These include providing scholarships to deserving local students, supporting the popular Conroe KidzFest, sustaining their vital Eye Glass Program which offers free eye exams and glasses to those in need, and contributing to the Texas Lions Camp, a specialized summer camp serving children with disabilities. Additionally, proceeds bolster various other local charities throughout the county, underscoring the club’s “We Serve” motto.

Secretary Jason Miller expressed the club’s excitement about the return to tradition. “We are excited to have the event back in person with all the fixings for the entire community,” Miller stated. He further emphasized its critical importance, noting it’s their largest fundraiser, allowing them to “continue to provide for the community in numerous ways throughout the year.” President Mike Valdez also highlighted the significance of celebrating six decades of this beloved community gathering, a testament to its enduring legacy and impact.

The Conroe Noon Lions Club, an integral part of the local landscape for decades, has consistently focused on humanitarian service, primarily around vision, hunger, and youth development. The Pancake Supper is not just a fundraiser; it’s an opportunity for community members to connect, share a meal, and contribute directly to programs that change lives in their own backyard.

Tickets for the 60th Annual Pancake Supper are conveniently priced at $10 each and can be purchased in several ways: directly from any Lions Club member, at the door on the night of the event, or online through their website, conroenoonlions.org. Community members are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance to support the club’s mission and ensure a smooth experience.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal, support vital community services, and celebrate a cherished Conroe tradition returning stronger than ever.
