Conroe Lions Host Kidsight Charity Event

**Conroe Noon Lions Club Invites Community to “Travel, Roar, Explore” Fundraiser**

Conroe, TX – The Conroe Noon Lions Club is gearing up for its premier annual fundraiser, “Travel, Roar, Explore,” an exciting safari-themed event scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024. The evening promises an adventure for a cause, running from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The Montgomery County Fairgrounds Exhibition Building, located at 9333 Airport Road in Conroe.

Tickets for this anticipated event are $100 per person and include a full dinner, access to an open bar, and lively entertainment from The Fab 5, a renowned Beatles tribute band known for their authentic performances. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in both silent and live auctions, as well as various raffles throughout the night, with unique items and experiences up for grabs.

“We are incredibly excited to host ‘Travel, Roar, Explore’ this year and invite everyone to join us for a fantastic evening that directly impacts our community,” said John Doe, President of the Conroe Noon Lions Club. (Note: A real journalist would obtain an actual quote from the current club president). “This safari theme is a fun way to bring people together while raising essential funds for programs that truly change lives here in Montgomery County.”

The proceeds from “Travel, Roar, Explore” are crucial for funding the Lions Kidsight USA Program, a cornerstone initiative of the club, and supporting other vital local charities. The Kidsight program provides free vision screenings for children, identifying potential issues early to ensure they can learn and thrive. During the 2023-2024 school year alone, the program screened an impressive 3,846 children in the local area. This led to 574 referrals for further eye examinations and the provision of 169 pairs of glasses to children who needed them most. In total, the Conroe Noon Lions Club has screened over 10,000 children through this initiative since its inception.

“The impact of the Kidsight program is immeasurable,” added Jane Smith, Kidsight Program Coordinator for the Conroe Noon Lions Club. (Note: A real journalist would obtain an actual quote from the Kidsight Coordinator). “Catching vision problems early can make all the difference in a child’s academic success and overall development. We’re proud to offer this critical service, and every dollar raised at ‘Travel, Roar, Explore’ helps us reach more children.”

The Conroe Noon Lions Club, established in [Year – *a real journalist would research this, e.g., 1954*], has a long-standing tradition of community service, focusing on vision, hunger, the environment, childhood cancer, and diabetes awareness. Beyond Kidsight, the club supports various other local non-profits, scholarships for area youth, and emergency relief efforts, making a comprehensive impact across Montgomery County.

Following the remarkable success of last year’s “Disco Night” fundraiser, which brought in over $140,000, the club aims to raise $150,000 this year to continue and expand its extensive community work.

Businesses and individuals looking to contribute to this impactful cause can choose from various sponsorship opportunities, including Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Roaring Good Time, and Table Sponsors. Each level offers different benefits and recognition for sponsors.
