Conroe Lions Pancake Supper: 58th Annual Fundraiser

**Conroe Noon Lions Club Brings Back Beloved Pancake Supper After Four-Year Hiatus**

**CONROE, TX – October 3, 2023** – A cherished Conroe tradition is officially making its long-awaited return this month. The Conroe Noon Lions Club is set to host its 58th Annual Pancake Supper on **Tuesday, October 17**, bringing back the community staple after a four-year hiatus.

The aroma of pancakes and sausage will once again fill the **Conroe High School cafeteria**, located at **3200 W. Davis St.**, from **4:30 to 7:30 p.m.** This year marks the supper’s first return to its traditional home at Conroe High School since the last event in 2019.

The beloved annual event was initially sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently faced venue challenges, leaving a significant gap in the club’s fundraising efforts and the community’s social calendar.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring the Pancake Supper back home to Conroe High School after such a long break,” said Jason Miller, President of the Conroe Noon Lions Club. “This event isn’t just about delicious food; it’s a cornerstone of our fundraising and a wonderful opportunity for the community to gather and support vital local causes. Seeing it return to its rightful place is incredibly special for all of us.”

Attendees can look forward to a classic menu of fluffy pancakes, savory sausage, and a refreshing drink. Tickets are priced at **$10 per person**, with children **six and under eating free** when accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased from any Conroe Noon Lions Club member in advance or conveniently at the door on the evening of the event.

Lisa Miller, a past president and dedicated event chair, highlighted the massive undertaking involved in preparing for such a popular gathering. “We’re anticipating serving between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees, just as we have in years past. Our members and volunteers are working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone,” she stated, underscoring the event’s historical popularity and the club’s commitment to its success.

Beyond the shared meal and community camaraderie, the primary goal of the Pancake Supper remains steadfast: fundraising for the Conroe Noon Lions Club Charitable Foundation. This foundation is a vital pillar of support for numerous initiatives across Montgomery County. Proceeds from the supper are directed towards a wide array of local charities, provide crucial scholarships for area students, and fund essential vision programs, including eye screenings and eyeglasses for children in need who might otherwise go without. In previous years, the supper has typically raised tens of thousands of dollars, making a significant impact on the well-being of the Conroe community.

The Conroe Noon Lions Club, part of Lions Clubs International, has been serving the Conroe area for over 60 years, dedicating itself to addressing community needs, particularly in the areas of vision, hunger, and youth development.

Community members are encouraged to mark their calendars and join the Conroe Noon Lions Club for an evening of food, fellowship, and fundraising that directly benefits their neighbors.
