Conroe Noon Lions Install New Officers, Plan Year Ahead

**Conroe Noon Lions Club Welcomes New Leadership, Charts Course for Enhanced Community Impact**

CONROE, TX – The Conroe Noon Lions Club, one of the largest and most active Lions organizations globally, officially ushered in its new leadership for the 2024-2025 fiscal year with an installation ceremony held Wednesday, June 12th, at their regular meeting spot, Incredible Pizza. The event marked the transition as the club prepares for its next term of service, which officially begins July 1st.

Incoming President Jason Miller is set to take the helm, succeeding Immediate Past President Steve Williams, under whose leadership the club experienced significant achievements over the past year. Miller outlined an ambitious vision for the upcoming year, emphasizing a three-pronged approach: boosting the club’s community visibility, increasing membership—particularly among younger individuals—and maintaining their robust support for key Lions International initiatives focused on vision, diabetes, childhood cancer, hunger, and environmental causes.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to lead such a dedicated group of individuals,” said Miller. “The Conroe Noon Lions Club has an 86-year legacy of service in Montgomery County, and my goal is to build on that foundation. We want to ensure our community knows the full scope of our work, attract new members who share our passion for service, and continue our impactful efforts in areas that truly change lives, both locally and globally.”

Founded in 1938, the Conroe Noon Lions Club boasts over 180 members and has been a cornerstone of philanthropic and volunteer efforts in Montgomery County for nearly nine decades. The past fiscal year, under Steve Williams’ guidance, saw the club make substantial contributions to the community. Notably, they raised over $100,000 for local youth scholarships through their immensely popular annual Montgomery County Fair Cookoff.

Beyond significant fundraising, members dedicated countless hours to various service projects. These included the collection of thousands of used eyeglasses for redistribution, diligent recycling of aluminum cans to fund projects, providing vital assistance at the Lions Camp in Kerrville for children with disabilities and Type 1 diabetes, and participating in numerous vision screenings across the community, helping hundreds identify and address potential sight issues.

“It has been a privilege to serve as president and witness the incredible generosity and hard work of our members,” said Steve Williams. “I am immensely proud of what we accomplished together, particularly in supporting our local youth and those in need. I have full confidence in Jason and the new team to continue and expand upon our tradition of service.”

The full slate of officers installed for the 2024-2025 fiscal year includes:
