**Conroe Symphony Orchestra Rings in Holidays with Free Community Concert and Grand “Joyous Christmas” Performance**

CONROE, TX – The Conroe Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is set to usher in the holiday season with two distinct and festive musical events in early December, offering both a free community concert and a grand main performance featuring acclaimed opera soloists.

Kicking off the holiday cheer is “Sounds of the Season,” a free community concert scheduled for Saturday, December 2, at 1 p.m. This event will take place at Heritage Park in downtown Conroe and is a highlight of the annual Conroe Tree Lighting Ceremony. Families and music lovers are invited to gather and enjoy various holiday favorites performed by the CSO, contributing to the festive atmosphere as Conroe officially lights its downtown Christmas tree. The Tree Lighting Ceremony typically includes additional community activities and is a beloved annual tradition marking the start of the holiday season in Conroe.

Following this community celebration, the CSO will present its main holiday concert, “A Joyous Christmas,” on Saturday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m. This special ticketed performance will be held at Mims Baptist Church, located at 16093 TX-105 in Conroe. Under the experienced baton of Music Director and Conductor Dr. Mischa Santora, the orchestra will feature the exceptional talents of husband-and-wife opera duo Kristin and Christopher Daniel as soloists.

Dr. Santora expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming performances: “This holiday season, we are thrilled to bring the joy and magic of Christmas through music to our community. From beloved carols at the Tree Lighting to the powerful voices of Kristin and Christopher Daniel in ‘A Joyous Christmas,’ these concerts are designed to create lasting memories and truly capture the spirit of the season.”

The program for “A Joyous Christmas” promises an evening of cherished classics and contemporary favorites, including “O Holy Night,” the timeless “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),” “Let It Snow,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Mary, Did You Know?” and the iconic “White Christmas.” Kristin and Christopher Daniel, accomplished opera singers known for their captivating performances on various stages, are poised to bring their rich vocal artistry to these beloved holiday selections.

Tickets for “A Joyous Christmas” are priced at $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for children aged 12 and under. They are conveniently available for purchase online at conroesymphony.org or can be bought at the door on the evening of the performance, subject to availability.
