Grand Oaks High Campus Stabbing Hospitalizes Student

**Student Stabbed at Grand Oaks High School; Teen Charged with Aggravated Assault**

**SPRING, TX** – A student at Grand Oaks High School was hospitalized after being stabbed on campus this past Tuesday, October 24, during an altercation that prompted a rapid law enforcement response and secured the school. Another male student has been taken into custody and charged in connection with the incident.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed that deputies received a call regarding the stabbing at approximately 10:19 AM. The incident occurred at the school, located at 4800 Riley Fuzzel Road in Spring.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male student who had sustained a stab wound. Emergency medical services were immediately dispatched, and the injured student was transported to a local hospital. He underwent surgery and is currently reported to be in stable condition. His identity has not been released.

Investigators quickly determined the stabbing took place in a restroom area within the school. Within a short time following the incident, another male student was identified and apprehended as the primary suspect. He has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony in Texas. Due to his age, the suspect’s identity has also been withheld.

Following the event, Grand Oaks High School, which is part of the Conroe Independent School District (CISD), initiated stringent safety protocols, securing the campus to ensure the safety of all students and staff. School officials also increased police presence on campus for the remainder of the day and in subsequent days.

Conroe ISD officials communicated directly with parents and guardians via email and phone calls, informing them of the incident, the safety measures taken, and the ongoing collaboration with law enforcement. The district emphasized its commitment to student safety and announced that counseling services would be made available to students and staff who may have been impacted by the traumatic event.

“The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority,” Conroe ISD stated in its communication to parents. “We are working closely with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office as they continue their investigation and will take all necessary disciplinary actions in accordance with district policy and state law.”
