Harper’s Preserve Storage To Begin Construction

**Harper’s Preserve Slated for New Climate-Controlled Storage Facility by Late 2026**

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Residents in and around the rapidly growing Harper’s Preserve community and eastern Conroe are set to gain a new, modern self-storage option, with Harper’s Preserve Storage announcing plans for a multi-story, climate-controlled facility. The project, spearheaded by Houston-based REIS Capital, will be located at the strategically important southeast corner of Harper’s Preserve Way and Highway 242.

Anticipated to break ground in March 2026, the facility is projected to reach completion by late 2026, adding significant storage capacity to the burgeoning residential corridor. The development will encompass 75,000 square feet on a two-acre tract, offering approximately 600 units designed to meet diverse storage needs.

“The demand for high-quality, secure, and climate-controlled self-storage solutions in communities like Harper’s Preserve and the broader Conroe area is undeniable,” said Michael Chen, CEO of REIS Capital. “As new homes continue to be built and families expand, the need for flexible storage options grows. Our project is specifically designed to cater to this expanding residential base, offering convenience and peace of mind right within their community.”

Harper’s Preserve, a master-planned community known for its natural beauty and family-friendly amenities, has experienced significant population growth in recent years, mirroring the explosive development along the entire Highway 242 corridor. This east-west artery serves as a vital connector between Interstate 45 and areas stretching towards Huffman, witnessing a surge in both residential and commercial projects.

The new Harper’s Preserve Storage facility will feature state-of-the-art security systems, including gated access, video surveillance, and individually alarmed units. Beyond climate control, which protects sensitive items from temperature and humidity fluctuations, the facility plans to offer a range of unit sizes, from small lockers to larger spaces suitable for household furnishings or business inventory. Amenities such as packing supplies and moving truck rentals are also expected to be available on-site.

“We recognize that storage needs vary widely, from individuals downsizing or decluttering, to businesses needing inventory space, to families navigating life transitions,” Chen added. “Our multi-story design allows for a smaller footprint while maximizing unit availability, ensuring we can serve a broad spectrum of the community effectively.”

REIS Capital, a real estate investment firm with a focus on strategic development projects in high-growth Texas markets, has been actively involved in identifying underserved sectors. Their investment in Harper’s Preserve Storage reflects a data-driven approach to addressing market gaps in rapidly urbanizing areas outside Houston’s core. The project is currently proceeding through the necessary permitting and approval processes with Montgomery County and local utility districts. Upon completion, Harper’s Preserve Storage is expected to not only provide a valuable service to local residents but also contribute to the local tax base and create a small number of operational jobs.
