**Montgomery County Fair Kicks Off April 12th with Star-Studded Music, Rodeo Thrills, and Youth Focus**

Conroe, TX – The annual Montgomery County Fair, a beloved tradition supporting local youth, is set to open its gates for ten days of excitement and community spirit, running from Friday, April 12th, through Sunday, April 21st. Located at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 900 Simonton Street in Conroe, this year’s event promises a packed schedule of live music, professional rodeo action, carnival rides, and vital agricultural and artistic showcases for the county’s future leaders.

Proceeds from the fair directly benefit the Montgomery County Fair Association (MCFA)’s mission to support local youth through scholarships and educational programs, making every ticket purchased an investment in the community’s future.

**Music Lineup Rocks the Stage**
Music enthusiasts have a solid lineup to look forward to, with headlining concerts beginning the first full weekend. Country star Wade Bowen will take the stage on Saturday, April 13th, at 7:30 p.m. The legendary Shenandoah follows on Sunday, April 14th, also at 7:30 p.m. Texas country icon Neal McCoy will entertain crowds on Monday, April 15th, at 7:30 p.m.

The second weekend amps up the energy with a “Go Tejano Day” celebration featuring La Mafia on Friday, April 19th, at 7:30 p.m. Capping off the main concert series, fan-favorite Kevin Fowler will perform on Saturday, April 20th, at 7:30 p.m. All concerts are included with general admission to the fair.

**Rodeo Action and Youth Finals**
The dust will fly with exhilarating rodeo performances sanctioned by the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA). The rodeo action kicks off with the highly anticipated Youth Rodeo Buckle Series Finals on Thursday, April 18th, at 7:30 p.m. Main rodeo performances are scheduled for Friday, April 19th, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 20th, at 7:30 p.m., culminating with the Rodeo Finals on Sunday, April 21st, at 2:00 p.m. Don’t miss the nightly Mutton Bustin’, a perennial crowd-pleaser featuring aspiring young cowboys and cowgirls.

**Carnival Thrills for All Ages**
For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the carnival opens its rides after the Youth Rodeo on Thursday, April 18th. Full carnival hours include Friday, April 19th, from 5 p.m. to midnight; Saturday, April 20th, from 12 p.m. to midnight; and Sunday, April 21st, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wristbands for unlimited rides are sold separately at the carnival grounds.

**Spotlighting Youth Programs and Agricultural Heritage**
At its heart, the Montgomery County Fair is dedicated to its youth. A major highlight is the Youth Livestock Auction, where the hard work of young exhibitors comes to fruition. Steers will be auctioned on Saturday, April 20th, at 1 p.m., followed by lambs and goats at 3 p.m., and swine at 5 p.m. The fair also proudly showcases Youth Art, Photography, Handicraft, and Food Show displays, available for viewing in the Exhibit Hall throughout the event. (The Youth Food Show Auction was held early on Thursday, April 11th).

The fair also extends a special invitation for its annual Special Needs Day on Monday, April 15th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This dedicated time provides a tailored, inclusive experience for attendees with special needs, requiring pre-registration via specialneeds@mcfa.org.

**Admission and Parking Information**
Admission to the fairgrounds, which includes access to all concerts, is $10 for ages 12 and up. Children aged 11 and under enjoy free entry. Rodeo tickets are an additional $15 each. For those planning multiple visits, a season pass is available for $30, offering access for all ten days of the fair.

Parking is available for $5 per vehicle, payable cash-only at the gate or by credit/debit at self-serve kiosks.
