**CONROE, TX –** Excitement is building as Conroe Live’s annual “Travel, Roar & Explore” fundraiser for the historic Owen Theatre has completely sold out of initial tickets for its highly anticipated event on **Saturday, June 22**. The themed dinner and silent auction, a cornerstone of the theatre’s financial stability, will welcome guests to the elegant **Bentwater Yacht & Country Club** at 200 Bentwater Club Dr in Montgomery, TX.

The sell-out signifies robust community backing for the Owen Theatre’s diverse programming, from its critical educational initiatives to its captivating theatrical productions. While initial sales are closed, hopeful attendees still have a chance to experience the evening by joining the official waitlist.

The “Travel, Roar & Explore” theme invites attendees on an adventurous journey, promising an evening filled with discovery and engagement. Doors for the event will open at **6 PM** for a social hour, offering guests the opportunity to mingle and browse the extensive silent auction items. Dinner will be served promptly at **7 PM**, followed by the live auction and award presentation.

Funds raised from this pivotal event are earmarked for Conroe Live, the non-profit organization that operates and maintains the historic Owen Theatre. These contributions are essential for sustaining the theatre’s extensive educational and theatrical programming, including the popular **Owen Theatre Young Actors Summer Camp**, which provides invaluable training and performance opportunities for local youth. Additionally, the fundraiser helps cover vital operational costs, ensuring the 87-year-old venue continues to thrive as a cultural hub for Conroe and the broader Montgomery County community.

This year’s event is expertly chaired by long-time supporters Martha and Mike Palmer, who have meticulously planned an evening promising both entertainment and impact. Veteran auctioneer Jim Caldwell, a familiar and beloved figure in the local philanthropic scene, will once again preside over both the silent and live auctions, presenting a diverse array of unique items, experiences, and packages for bid. Past auction items have ranged from luxury getaways and exclusive dining experiences to unique local art and theatrical memorabilia.

A special highlight of the evening will be the inaugural presentation of the “Spirit of Texas Award” to Bill O’Farrell. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication and contribution to the enrichment of the arts and culture in the Texas community, particularly in the Montgomery County area. O’Farrell is being honored for his decades of philanthropic leadership, his unwavering advocacy for arts education, and his instrumental role in various community development projects that have directly benefited institutions like the Owen Theatre.

“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community, which has led to this year’s ‘Travel, Roar & Explore’ fundraiser selling out so quickly,” said Jodi Smith, Executive Director of Conroe Live. “This event is absolutely vital for us to continue our mission of providing high-quality performing arts and educational opportunities. The funds allow us to keep our historical theatre running, expand our youth programs like the Young Actors Summer Camp, and bring diverse productions to our stage. We are particularly excited to honor Bill O’Farrell with our first ‘Spirit of Texas Award,’ recognizing his profound impact on our cultural landscape.”
