The highly anticipated establishment, located at 12248 FM 2854 on the site formerly occupied by Papa’s on the Lake, held its soft opening on November 25, followed by a grand opening celebration on November 30.

Owners Kevin and Cheryl Doolan, along with their son and general manager James “Jimi” Doolan, have meticulously transformed the lakeside-adjacent property into a family-friendly oasis. Inspired by the laid-back charm of the Florida Keys, Parrot’s Nest features a relaxed, beach-themed decor complete with tropical accents, bright colors, and comfortable seating designed to transport patrons to a perpetual vacation state of mind.

“We wanted to create a place where families and friends could come together, relax, and feel like they’re escaping to a little slice of paradise right here in Montgomery,” said co-owner Kevin Doolan. “The Key West vibe isn’t just about the aesthetics; it’s about the feeling of warmth, good food, and good company.”

The Doolan family, with a long-standing passion for hospitality and community, saw an opportunity to bring a unique concept to the growing Montgomery area, particularly given the site’s proximity to Lake Conroe. Jimi Doolan, bringing his experience to the daily operations, emphasized the commitment to a welcoming environment. “Our goal is to be more than just a restaurant; we want to be a gathering spot, a place where memories are made over delicious food and refreshing drinks.”
