**Conroe Prepares to Welcome Nation’s Top Young Classical Talent with Young Texas Artists 2026 Music Competition and Festival**

**CONROE, TX –** Montgomery County is gearing up to host a significant cultural event as Young Texas Artists (YTA) officially unveiled the dates and details for its highly anticipated 2026 Music Competition and Festival. Scheduled to run from March 11-15, 2026, the biennial event promises to be a vibrant celebration of classical music, dedicated to discovering, encouraging, and promoting exceptional young musicians from across Texas.

The competition and festival, a cornerstone of the region’s arts calendar, will anchor its activities in downtown Conroe. The prestigious Finalists’ Concert and Awards ceremony, the culmination of the week, will once again grace the historic Crighton Theatre. Semifinal rounds and invaluable master classes, offering unique educational experiences, are slated for the First Presbyterian Church. The competition is open to Texas residents or those enrolled in a Texas college or university. Specific age requirements apply: vocalists must be between 18 and 32, while instrumentalists need to be between 18 and 30.

Over $30,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, with the coveted Grand Prize recipient receiving $5,000. Additional prizes will be distributed across specific categories including Voice, Piano, Strings, and Winds, ensuring recognition for excellence in various disciplines.
