Pamela Anne Nicks
Obituary
Pamela Anne Nicks, 77, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a remarkably kind, thoughtful, smart, and profoundly grateful woman whose warmth and enduring positivity touched everyone lucky enough to know her. Born on February 6, 1949 to the late Kenneth Miller and Patricia Ackermann (Moreland), Pam grew up in different parts of the world before attending college in England and eventually settling down in Texas. She was a deeply devoted mother to her daughter, Jennifer Nicks, with whom she held an inseparable bond and a lifetime of unconditional love. For the past 20 years, she shared her life, dreams, and home with her beloved partner, Don Fredericks. She also cherished her role as Nana to his two grandchildren, Zachary and Griffin, and as Auntie Pam to her numerous nieces and nephews. Her final home by the lake was a constant source of joy and comfort, guarded faithfully by her dog, Dakota. Beyond her love for family and friends, Pam had a vibrant spirit and loved traveling, being on the water, playing games, reading, and embracing all life has to offer. Pam is survived by her daughter, Jennifer, and son-in-law, Russell; her partner, Don, and his son, Steve, and grandchildren, Zachary and Griffin; her loving siblings, Allen Miller (and wife Yolanda), Claudia Haider (and husband John), and Mark Miller (and wife Bonnie); along with many extended family members and friends in the U.S. and England who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jane Lucio. Pam (Mom), you are so deeply loved and will forever be missed. Your beautiful spirit will live on in our hearts and minds, always. Cheers to a life well lived.
