Scott Alan Sustek, 56, passed away on August 11, 2026. A gifted artist, devoted teacher, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Scott lived with extraordinary creativity, humor, faith, and a deep love for his family.
Scott was brilliant, endlessly creative, and incredibly funny. He had a larger-than-life personality and a gift for making people laugh. Art was woven into who he was. Through painting, sculpture, and teaching, he shared his remarkable talent and imagination with countless students and others throughout his life.
Scott is survived by his mother, Dian Sustek; his children, Eiley Sustek, Mia Sustek, Devyn Sustek, and Jon Sustek; his sister, Courtney Fleischman, her husband, Greg Fleischman, and their daughter, Hope Fleischman, Scott's beloved niece; and his beloved aunts, Karen Sustek, Paula Herndon, and Kay Goodlett.
He also shared a special bond with Paige Ogilvy and Carson Ogilvy, whom he loved as family and who remained an important part of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, John Sustek.
Most importantly, Scott loved the Lord. His family finds comfort in their faith and in knowing that the most difficult parts of his journey are over and that he is at peace.
