Adam Wylie Charged with Murder in Conroe Stabbing

Conroe, TX – A Conroe man has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal stabbing that occurred Sunday night at an apartment complex. Adam Chase Wylie, 35, is accused in the death of 38-year-old Paul Hamilton.

The incident unfolded shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, in the parking lot of the Artesian on West Davis apartments, located in the 1600 block of West Davis Street. According to investigators with the Conroe Police Department, Hamilton was stabbed during an argument.

Authorities say Hamilton was driven by his girlfriend to Conroe Regional Medical Center, where he was tragically pronounced dead from his injuries.

Conroe Police immediately launched an investigation into the stabbing. Their findings quickly led them to identify Wylie as the suspect. A warrant for Wylie's arrest on a murder charge was issued on Monday. Later that same evening, Wylie turned himself in to authorities without incident.

Following his arrest, Wylie appeared before Judge Wayne Mack, who set his bond at $75,000. As of Tuesday, Wylie remains in custody at the Montgomery County Jail. Grant Fugate is listed as his attorney.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the argument and subsequent stabbing is ongoing. Conroe Police have not released further details about the nature of the argument or any prior relationship between Wylie and Hamilton.

The case will likely be referred to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and presented to a grand jury, which will determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a formal indictment for murder.
