Club Rewind Showcases Teens & Raises Funds

The Assistance League of Montgomery County's annual Club Rewind fashion show showcased 20 teens modeling thrift store clothes, empowering them.
CONROE, Texas — The runway at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds transformed into a stage of confidence and transformation on November 2 as the Assistance League of Montgomery County hosted its annual Club Rewind fashion show. The event served as both a high-energy fundraiser and a poignant showcase for 20 local teens who benefit from the organization’s signature clothing assistance program.
The fashion show featured participants modeling a diverse array of apparel—ranging from casual weekend wear to professional career attire and elegant formal ensembles. Notably, every piece of clothing modeled was sourced directly from the Assistance League’s own Thrift Store Resale Shop, proving that charitable donations can be repurposed into styles that empower youth to feel their best.
Behind the scenes, the event was a massive volunteer-led orchestration. Committee members Marilyn Keller, Kathy Moore, and Sandy O'Rourke coordinated the logistical efforts, while Pam Gossett directed the runway. The participants received professional styling support from fashion consultant Kelly Zuniga, with hair and makeup services provided by Jackie Hall and Michelle Feller. Dr. Don Heath presided over the afternoon as the Master of Ceremonies, keeping the energy high throughout the silent auction and luncheon.
Club Rewind, a vital pillar of the Assistance League’s philanthropic mission, supports Montgomery County youth aged 13 to 18. The program provides new or gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories at no cost to the students. Referrals are typically managed by school counselors, allowing teens to visit the organization’s facility at 2226 N. Frazier St. in Conroe for private, dignified shopping experiences. The program operates specifically for Club Rewind clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the guidance of chair Nancy Terry and co-chairs Susan Slocum, Marilyn Keller, and Sandy O'Rourke.
The Assistance League of Montgomery County operates as an all-volunteer nonprofit, driven by its mission of "transforming lives and strengthening communities." Beyond Club Rewind, the organization manages four other philanthropic programs:
Assault Survivor Kits: Providing comfort and essential items to those in crisis. Caring & Sharing: Supporting community members in need through various outreach initiatives. Operation School Bell: Supplying students with school clothes and supplies to ensure academic success. Pass It On: A recycling and redistribution program for household goods.
These initiatives are funded primarily through the continued success of the Thrift Store Resale Shop located at 2226 N. Frazier St. in Conroe. The shop is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with proceeds directly fueling the organization's community programs.
