Conroe Catfish Festival Unveils Full 2024 Details

Conroe's 35th Cajun Catfish Festival, Oct 11-13, brings country music stars (Randy Rogers Band, Neal McCoy, Easton Corbin) to downtown Conroe, TX.

CONROE, Texas — The sounds of country music will fill the streets of downtown Conroe this autumn as the Friends of Conroe officially unveiled the lineup for the 35th annual Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival. The three-day cultural staple, which draws thousands of visitors to the Montgomery County seat, is scheduled for October 11 through October 13.

Organizers shared the highly anticipated artist roster on Thursday, August 8, emphasizing a strong lean toward modern and classic country headliners.

The festivities kick off on Friday, October 11, with the Randy Rogers Band taking the main stage. The Texas-based group, known for their loyal following and chart-topping hits like "Kiss Me in the Dark," will be joined by rising star Tyler Halverson.

Saturday’s programming offers a heavy-hitting triple bill, featuring the atmospheric, high-energy sounds of Shane Smith and The Saints, 90s country icon Neal McCoy, and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Deana Carter. The festival concludes on Sunday, October 13, with a headline performance by neo-traditionalist Easton Corbin, best known for his string of number-one country hits including "A Little More Country Than That."

Beyond the main stage, the 35th-anniversary milestone aims to lean into the event's roots. Organizers confirmed the return of the fan-favorite Catfish Cook-Off, which serves as both a culinary competition and a showcase for local amateur chefs. The downtown streets will be transformed into a sprawling midway featuring carnival rides, extensive arts and crafts vendors, and a community stage dedicated to highlighting regional musical talent.

The festival serves as the primary fundraiser for the Friends of Conroe, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community spirit and supporting local charitable initiatives. According to event coordinators, all proceeds from the festival are funneled directly back into local charities, including scholarships for area students and donations to various civic organizations.

Festival operations begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 11. Weekend gates open at 11 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Ticket pricing remains accessible for local families. Single-day entry is $15 for Friday or Sunday, and $20 for Saturday. For those wishing to attend the entire weekend, a three-day festival pass is available for $40. In a continued effort to make the event family-friendly, children aged 12 and under will be admitted free of charge. The organization is also continuing its tradition of offering discounted tickets for military members with valid identification.

Tickets and full schedules, including updates on community stage performers, can be found at the official festival website at www.conroecajuncatfishfestival.com.

As the event approaches, attendees are encouraged to plan for downtown traffic and parking, as several streets surrounding the courthouse square will be closed to accommodate the staging area and vendor booths. Updates regarding parking maps and specific performance times will be posted to the festival's social media pages in the coming weeks.
