The transition back to the classroom begins earlier for district staff. New teachers will report for orientation starting Monday, July 31, while returning faculty and staff are scheduled to begin their prep work on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Teachers will finish their contract obligations with a final workday on Friday, May 24, 2024.
The development of the calendar was a collaborative effort led by the District-wide Calendar Committee, chaired by Dr. Cody Blair, the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. The committee, tasked with representing the diverse needs of the district, consisted of parents, community members, teachers, and administrators.
According to district officials, the group held meetings throughout November and December 2022 to craft two distinct calendar options. These proposals were subsequently released for public review. The district reported a robust response, receiving over 15,000 survey submissions from the community. This feedback was instrumental in the Board’s final decision-making process.
Conroe ISD, one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state, manages a diverse student population across Montgomery County.
