Conroe Meth Bust: 5 Arrested, Drugs Seized

CONROE, Texas - A months-long investigation into narcotics distribution in Conroe concluded on Friday, September 29, when local authorities raided a residence on North Frazier Street, resulting in five arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine, firearms, and cash.

The Conroe Police Department’s Narcotics Unit initiated the probe several months ago, tracking suspected drug activity centered at a property near the 1700 block of North Frazier. Following weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering, detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence.

At approximately 6:00 AM on Friday, members of the Conroe SWAT team executed the warrant, securing the premises before the Narcotics Unit conducted a search of the interior. During the operation, officers reported discovering approximately half a pound of methamphetamine, several firearms, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

Five individuals were taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Manuel Salazar Jr., 50, faces the most serious charge among the group, booked for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Court records indicate that Salazar has an extensive criminal history in Montgomery County, including previous felony convictions for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Assault on a Public Servant. His bond has been set at $75,000.

Four other Conroe residents were arrested on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. They have been identified as Rosanne Garza, 52; Victor Soliz, 45; James Soliz, 46; and Kristy Soliz, 46. Each of the four individuals is being held on a $50,000 bond.

All five suspects remain in custody at the Montgomery County Jail as of early this week.

This raid is the latest in a series of enforcement actions by the Conroe Police Department aimed at disrupting mid-level narcotics trafficking in the city. The North Frazier corridor has been a focal point for increased police patrols and investigative efforts over the past year due to community reports of suspicious activity.

The investigation remains active, and police have indicated that additional charges could be filed as the evidence recovered during the raid is processed. The Conroe Police Department encourages members of the public to report suspected drug activity by calling their non-emergency line at 936-522-3200 or by submitting anonymous tips through the department's official website at cityofconroe.org.
