CSO Announces 2024-2025 Five-Concert Season

CSO Announces 2024-2025 Five-Concert Season

CONROE, Texas — The Conroe Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is set to elevate the local cultural landscape with the announcement of its ambitious 2024-2025 concert season. Featuring a diverse lineup of five performances, the upcoming series aims to blend traditional symphonic repertoire with cinematic flair, holiday spirit, and Broadway classics. All performances will be hosted at Mims Baptist Church, located at 16093 TX-105 W.

Dr. Alfonso Vega returns as the orchestra’s Music Director and Conductor, continuing his leadership role in fostering symphonic music within Montgomery County. Adding a layer of collaborative depth to the season, the Conroe Symphony Chorus is slated to perform alongside the orchestra during every concert, providing a choral richness that has become a hallmark of the organization.

The season kicks off on Saturday, September 21, 2024, with a program titled Lights, Camera, Action! The concert will transport audiences through the history of cinema by performing iconic movie scores and themes.

As the winter season approaches, the orchestra will present A Texas-Sized Christmas on Saturday, December 14, 2024. The holiday performance promises to put a regional spin on beloved carols. This concert will feature guest conductor Maestro Robert Hunt and distinguished organist Dr. Kristen Queen.

In 2025, the orchestra pivots to international themes. On Saturday, February 15, 2025, guest conductor Dr. Carlos Castilla will lead the ensemble in Passport to Europe, a curated exploration of classical music origins from across the Atlantic.

The spring performance, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, titled Musical Masters, will see guest conductor Dr. Christopher Durrenberger guiding the orchestra through classic works. A highlight of this evening will be the performance by the winner of the CSO Young Artist Competition, an initiative designed to provide a stage for rising musical talent.

The season will conclude on Saturday, June 7, 2025, with Broadway Bound, a tribute to the grand traditions of musical theater.

The Conroe Symphony Orchestra has long served as a cornerstone of the regional arts scene, operating with a dual mission to provide high-quality symphonic performances and to actively promote music education in the local community. The organization’s efforts are bolstered by the support of the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance and the City of Conroe.

Ticket information is now available for those looking to secure their seats. While season subscription packages can be purchased immediately, individual concert tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 1. Single ticket pricing is set at $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for children age 12 and under.

Patrons may purchase tickets or find additional information regarding the upcoming season at ConroeSymphony.org. Tickets will also remain available for purchase at the door on the night of each performance.
