Steven Collier Found Deceased in Conroe

CONROE, Texas — A somber conclusion has come to a week-long search for a missing Willis man. On Tuesday morning, November 21, authorities recovered a body in a wooded area near the intersection of Interstate 45 and League Line Road, situated in close proximity to the Conroe North I-45 Business Park.
While official forensic confirmation from the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office is still pending, investigators believe the deceased is 39-year-old Steven Collier. Collier had been the subject of an intense search effort by law enforcement and his family since he was last seen on November 13. He was officially reported missing to local authorities the following day, November 14.
The discovery follows a week of mounting concern from Collier’s family, who had taken to social media to canvas the community for information. The search efforts had previously focused on the area near the business park after Collier’s silver Ford Focus was found abandoned in the vicinity several days ago.
The recovery operation prompted a multi-agency response, with personnel from the Conroe Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arriving on the scene Tuesday morning to secure the area and conduct a thorough sweep of the site.
Although the investigation remains in its early stages, Conroe Police officials stated that there are no immediate signs of foul play. Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack was summoned to the scene and has ordered an autopsy to provide a definitive identification and establish an official cause and manner of death.
Jessica Hinson, Collier’s sister, addressed the tragedy publicly, expressing the family’s belief that the search for her brother has ended in heartbreak. The news has sent waves of grief through the Willis and Conroe communities, where residents had shared posters and digital appeals in hopes of a safe return.
Law enforcement officials are expected to release further details once the autopsy results are finalized. Anyone with information regarding the circumstances surrounding Collier’s disappearance or his presence in the area prior to November 13 is encouraged to contact the Conroe Police Department at 936-522-3200 or the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Updates on this case will be provided as they become available.
