Constable Seeks Suspect in $50K Luxury Theft

CONROE, Texas – Montgomery County law enforcement is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the brazen theft of luxury goods from a high-end furniture retailer in The Woodlands.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of December 14, 2023, at the Robb & Stucky showroom, located at 1600 Lake Front Circle. According to investigators with the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office, the suspect targeted specific, high-value merchandise, resulting in a loss exceeding $50,000.
Authorities reported that the suspect entered the showroom under the guise of a customer interested in high-end inventory. After requesting to view several luxury items, the individual reportedly utilized a distraction tactic to bypass security measures and successfully exited the store with the merchandise.
The stolen haul includes three women’s Cartier watches—a Cartier Panthère, a Cartier Tank, and a Cartier Ballon Bleu—as well as a Louis Vuitton Capucines handbag. The value of these items elevates the incident to a felony theft investigation.
Precinct 1 Constable Philip Cash released a description of the suspect in hopes that someone in the community can provide a positive identification. The suspect is described as a white male, estimated to be in his 50s or 60s, with a slender build and standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He has short brown or gray hair and was observed wearing a tan sport coat, a white button-down shirt, dark trousers, and eyeglasses at the time of the theft.
Retail theft involving high-end luxury items has become an increasing focus for law enforcement agencies across the Houston metropolitan area as organized groups and individuals target premium goods for resale on secondary markets. Because these specific timepieces and handbags are serial-numbered or highly identifiable, investigators are monitoring pawn shops and online auction sites for signs that the merchandise has been moved.
Detective Scott Boudreaux of the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office is leading the investigation. Anyone who recognizes the individual from surveillance footage or has information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen property is urged to contact Detective Boudreaux directly at 936-539-7821.
For those who wish to remain anonymous, tips can also be submitted through Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP (7867). A cash reward is available for information that leads to the filing of criminal charges or the arrest of the suspect.
